What is your favorite project you worked on and why?

My favorite project would be a residential project at 83 Centre St. I transformed a fire damaged 2 level home with 1,200 Sf of living area to a beautiful 2 family triple decker with 4,600 sf of living area. This is my favorite project because it was the first project, I completed myself and helped launch me into the position I am in today.

Who or what inspires you?

My grandmother. She came to this country as an immigrant built a life for herself before sending for my father and uncles to join her. To move from Trinidad to NH as single mother and African American female in the 60’s will never cease to amaze me.  As the child of an immigrant and a first generation American I have a unique perspective on the American Dream.   She has really helped morph my work ethic and whenever I doubt myself I think of her journey and remember anything is possible if you have the desire and dedication.

What is one thing on your bucket list and will you accomplish it?

I would like to hike the Appalachian trail. God willing, I will be healthy enough when my children leave to college to give it a shot!

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Walked 11 Miles alone in the Bosnian Countryside with just the Millennium Cross, Neretva River and train tracks as navigational tools. I knew the Cross is located at the beginning of the city and that the river divides the city in half and the railroad tracks are on the northeast side of the city.   I made it to my destination with no issues at the surprise of my hosts.
