Who, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most? And why?

My grandparents – two of whom passed before I was born. I really valued the time I had with my paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother and both remain influential on my life today. Both of them were very proud and supportive of their families and I know they’d enjoy learning of their great-grandchildren.

How did you get into construction?

I was exposed to construction at an early age through my father who has been in the field for his entire career. Growing up, there were a number of site visits with an oversized hard hat that led me towards a vocational high school education. Despite then earning a degree in an unrelated field, it was those formative years that steered me back into the industry just three years out of college. I was fortunate to get an opportunity with a local general contractor while finishing night courses at Wentworth and worked quickly to acquire my CSL.

Who or what inspires you?

My family inspires me on a daily basis. Each of my siblings also have careers in construction and on more than one occasion I’ve crossed paths with foremen or project managers who have worked with them at some point in time sharing positive remarks. Our careers are demanding and the patience and support I get at home help drive me to be the best that I can be.

What is one thing on your bucket list and will you accomplish it?

I’d love to travel abroad and spend time in Italy or the south of France. My hope is to cross this off the list within the next five years.
