Who, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most? And why?
I would like to have dinner with my dad. He passed away when I was a young child.  I would just like to have a conversation to discuss all the wonderful things that have happened in our family since he passed. He always instilled in us as kids the importance of getting a good education and having a good work ethic, from that good things would happen. Since his passing, I completed college, married, had 3 children along with 2 grandchildren. My professional career has been nothing short of an amazing journey working for some of the finest companies in the New England area meeting and working with so many wonderful and talented people. When I reflect on every aspect of my life it reminds me of those words he told me at a very young age.

What is your favorite project you worked on and why?
The Alewife Station Parking Garage in Cambridge, MA. This was my first big project after graduating from college. After working in strictly a residential environment prior, this was such a huge challenge to be part of a job of this size and magnitude. I learned so much about heavy construction, concrete both cast in place and precast. There was definitely a more professional setting than I had been accustomed to.

How did you get into construction?
I started working summers for a neighbor who had a small residential contracting business. I found it interesting and quite rewarding to build houses and additions. Through the years my interest grew and I decided to further my education in the construction field.

Who or what inspires you?
The people I work with on a daily basis. I’m amazed every day working and learning from people of all ages. It’s inspiring teaching and sharing my construction knowledge with the younger members of the company, in turn, it’s inspiring learning from the younger members all the new technology the computer age has offered. It amazes me how intuitive it is to them and how overwhelming it feels to me. I certainly appreciate and enjoy learning from them.
