About This Project
The new building with classrooms, offices, performance spaces, cafeteria, gymnasium, and two lab areas for the K-8 school located in Dorchester. Prior to construction, the team conducted complete demolition of the existing buildings without impeding public street access in the busy city neighborhood. During construction, the team uncovered 7 underground storage tanks, necessitating LSP site work to test soil and keep the site clean and safe at all times. The 3-story facility abuts several urban residential neighborhoods, requiring consistent public outreach and communication throughout the duration of the project. The school was custom-built to the owners’ specifications by working hand-in-hand with the designers, owners, and subcontractors to deliver a specialized and successful final product for the children.
