Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC)
20 Overland Street, Boston
About This Project
Renovation to an existing floor of an BIDMC off-campus location. The floor was divided in half with one side becoming the main Human Resources Department for the entire hospital and the other side for Facilities. Existing offices where stripped and redone with the common core area being reworked to meet the needs of the HR department interview process. In addition, security concerns were addressed for cases where terminated or disciplined employees acted out. Traffic flow, egress routes, and security systems were all coordinated for a successful and safe end product. In the Facilities portion of the floor, a new entrance was added as well as three new hospital-standard bathrooms. Bathroom construction required coordination and consistent communication with other tenants below during off hours.
