Dave is a well-rounded leader, with over 25 years’ experience, who truly understands the entire construction process. He considers himself a businessperson within the construction industry which allows him to provide a different perspective on many issues. He continuously seeks opportunities to increase the financial acumen of our people throughout the company during job setup, cost forecasting, and change management to help others understand the “big picture.”  Dave is a believer in open communications and transparency and instills that philosophy with our project teams. He meets with teams regularly to review projects on risk mitigation and cost reporting.

Dave is one of our most requested mentors by our younger staff. He truly enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping to grow the next generation of leaders. He is also instrumental in forming our succession planning model.

Dave meets with our national peer groups on a quarterly basis to share ideas on improvements with financial risk and technology. His goal is to make sure we are always finding ways for more efficiency while being open to other perspectives.

One of Dave’s accomplishments he is most proud of is instituting our Charitable Foundation. Through his efforts, our charitable giving is more formalized with a focus on helping organizations that are in alignment with our mission. As a result, we have been able to maximize our giving in a more efficient manner.

What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
There are those who play guitar, there are guitar players and there are guitarists.  I play guitar, and I thoroughly enjoy it.

How did you get into construction?
My father was a carpenter and I was his laborer!  I was always around the industry, so it was a natural progression, just from a different angle. I landed in the right role for me. I love to be challenged and working with great people.  This industry offers both!

What is one thing on your bucket list and will you accomplish it?
Golfing in Ireland and yes, if COVID-19 ever ends!
