Commodore Builders has earned a Gold Brandon Hall Group™ HCM Excellence Award® in the Best Advance in Corporate Learning category for Commodore Academy (CA)!

Developed in partnership with Learn Amp, CA is our companywide learning platform. The platform serves as our home base for trainings and resources, giving both in field and in office staff access to role-specific development, company standards, and practical resources. Its top priority is strengthening Commodore’s performance, as well as its learning-focus and transparent work culture. By building capacity for growth and continuous learning, CA helps Commodore exceed client expectations and deliver excellence across its projects. The Academy’s learning experience platform (LXP), also powered by Learn Amp, enables Commodore to innovate how it creates and distributes learning, measures its value and communicates development and engagement opportunities to employees.

Founder and CEO Joe Albanese envisioned Commodore Academy long before it became a formal platform. As Commodore grew, his goal was to preserve the company’s standard of work and give employees the resources to put its Six Qualities of Excellence into practice: Take Charge, Anticipate, Focus on Details, Collaborate, Innovate and Problem Solve.

Carol Roby, Dean of Commodore Academy, and Frank Cotton, Learning and Development Manager, have led the development of CA, working with colleagues across the company and Learn Amp to build the platform from the ground up. Dena Wolfs, Talent and Culture Associate, helped lead the award submission and articulate the program’s business case.
