What is your favorite project you worked on and why?

Of all the projects I have worked on, I would say my most favorite would be The Lodge at Truitt Homestead Project located in Rehoboth Beach, DE. I was assigned to this project as an assistant project manager where I worked the duration as a fixture on-site.  This project was a $21.6 Million, 3 Story, 85 Unit, 120,000 SF 55+ Luxury Independent Living Apartment Building.  This was a challenging project, where I faced several conflicts that really tested my problem-solving abilities. Although difficult, this project was a great learning experience and provided me with an opportunity for substantial growth.

How did you get into construction?

In high school I was able to participate in every engineering elective offered, and by the time I was able to apply for college, I had narrowed my desired studies to civil engineering. By my sophomore year in college, I was presented with an internship in the project management sector for a general contractor based out of Worcester, MA.  The rest of my college career, I continued to work during summer and winter vacations, enriching my construction knowledge, until I signed on full time.  From there on out, I felt as if I found my niche in the construction world.

Who or what inspires you?

I have always been fascinated by infrastructure and the desire to learn how different types of structures are built. This kind of curiosity has continued to inspire me throughout my career and has pushed me to look deeper into the construction realm.

What is one thing on your bucket list and will you accomplish it?

One thing on my bucket list is to travel to all 50 states (Currently I have gone through 23 of the 50). I enjoy traveling, so I plan to accomplish this goal and continue adventuring through the remaining states.  Whether it be hiking, skiing or just visiting iconic sights and cities, I look forward to crossing this off my bucket list.
