What is your favorite project you worked on and why?

My favorite project that I worked on was the Harvard House Zero because I got to see how a building adapts to its environment and adjusted through sensors. This building was renovated for the Architecture Masters program at Harvard to use as research of a Net Zero building.

How did you get into construction?

I got into construction through the co-op program at Wentworth. My first co-op was with an architecture firm, and I didn’t feel like it was a good fit. My next one was at a Construction Management firm, and I enjoyed every moment. The day-to-day experience was exciting, and I was on a great team and from there I knew construction management was the path for me.

Who or what inspires you?

My parents inspire me. They immigrated to the United States from the Dominican Republic in hopes of a better future for their family – and they accomplished that goal. I am so grateful for the sacrifices they made to allow me to be in the position I’m in today. I’m always trying to put my best foot forward and work hard to make them proud.

What is one thing on your bucket list and will you accomplish it?

One thing on my bucket list is visit every single MLB stadium. I will accomplish it. I just need to make it a goal to travel to a new city each year. So far, I’ve been to the New York Stadiums, Fenway Park, and Marlins Park.
