What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
I can draw when I feel like it.  Apparently, a talent that I acquired from my late biological father who was a locally famous artist in Ohio.

What is your favorite project you worked on and why?
The Blennerhassett Bridge from West Virginia into Ohio.  I loved the magnitude of the project and the view over the Ohio River.  I was the only northerner on the project but was welcomed into the community.

How did you get into construction?
I grew up on a farm and was involved in constructing things from an early age. In 1984 I worked as summer help with Moore Homes out of Lexington where I worked as a carpenter apprentice through high school.  I then went to work for a contractor as a carpenter for a couple of years full-time.  I then attended Keene State for Safety Studies and continued working for the same contractor through college until landing a job in safety with a company out of Maine.

What is one thing on your bucket list and will you accomplish it?
My main goal is to hike the Appalachian Trail with my son.  It was my dream as a youth and now I am old, but it still sits on my list.
