Cost Accountant

Karen Murphy

What is your favorite project you worked on and why?
Boston Sword & Tuna. It was a project from the ground-up, and I love watching something appear from an empty lot.

How did you get into construction?
It was by default. I was in purchasing and then moved into design & construction on the owner’s side and then switched to the GC side when I joined Commodore.

Who or what inspires you?
In the movie Rudy, based on the true story of Daniel Ruettiger, he never gave up on his dream of playing football for Notre Dame, he worked hard every day despite the odds being against him, he pushed on and earned the respect of the entire team. It really is a life lesson, work hard and you shall succeed.

What is one thing on your bucket list and will you accomplish it?
I would like to retire before I am 90, and I hope so! ( haha)
