Amanda Clark

Senior Planner & Preconstruction Manager

Amanda Clark

What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
I a professional dance teacher and competitive dancer. Ironically, I have been told by many close friends and family, I am the most clumsy-graceful person that exists.

Who, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most? And why?
My Grandfather.  He passed away when I was 20.  He was one of the most influential people in my educational life.  He taught me to think critically and be inquisitive.  There are so many things that I would love to talk to him about.

How did you get into construction?
I have an undergraduate degree in Architecture and Urban Planning and a Masters Degree in Architecture. I began my career as an interior architectural designer and owner’s project manager. Over time, that role changed to developing and managing a successful design-build program where I worked.  A few years ago I found myself looking for new challenges and found construction offered a different perspective of the industry I wanted to learn more about.  Tenant interiors was an obvious fit due to my previous career trajectory.

Who or what inspires you?
Personal and professional growth and progress. Anyone who follows a goal or passion that leads them in a path that is not the “norm”.
