Commodore provided preconstruction and construction services for a 321,000 SF, 5-story new office building, with an associated parking garage that accommodates 1,030 vehicles in Waltham, MA.
The construction of the office building included structural steel and poured concrete slabs on spread footings. The skin of the building is comprised of a mixture of curtain wall glass, terracotta rain screen and decorative metal panels. The construction of the garage was a precast structure on spread footings. The two structures are tied together with a new raised 40,000 SF plaza area.
The work included the demolition of an existing 103,000 SF office building to make way for the new projects.
The project is registered with the certification of LEED® Gold.
